· Reviewed traffic surveillance and control systems of Project’s Design Basis Report for Port of Miami Tunnel & Access Improvements Design/Build Project. The system elements include operations control rooms, closed circuit television, dynamic message signs, signals, overheight vehicle detectors, dedicated short range communications, portal traffic signals, highway advisory radio and incident detection and management.

· Project manager or principal-in-charge for over 15 traffic engineering projects in northern California for public and private clients including traffic impact studies; parking generation, demand and analysis; traffic trip generation and distribution; traffic signal design and timing; traffic origin-destination studies; and peer review for traffic studies.

· Metra Parking Management Guidance System (PMGS)- served as a project manager and provided technical assistance in the development of PMGS for the Northeastern Illinois Regional Commuter Railroad Corporation- Metra. The system will provide accurate and timely information on parking availability to assist commuters with making informed travel mode choices and efficiently locating open spaces. The project includes the design, bidding, construction management and administration and technical evaluation/user survey of a pilot system installed at two Metra stations.

· Northeastern Illinois Regional ITS Architecture- served as a project manager and provided technical assistance in the development of the Regional ITS Architecture for Northeastern  Illinois. The project includes technical review of existing documentation, conduct outreach meetings, and development of a base architecture, communication preliminary plan and an architecture maintenance and operating plan.

· Indianapolis Traffic Management Center Construction Engineering & Inspection- provided technical assistance and construction services for the technology component of the Indianapolis Traffic Management Center (TMC), a $12.6 million facility.

· Indianapolis Advanced Traffic Management System (ATMS)- served as a QA/QC coordinator for Indianapolis ATMS, which covers about 145 miles of expressways and comprises of electronic surveillance, traveler information, communication network, traffic management center and highway service patrols (Hoosier Helpers).

· Indiana Toll Road ITS Project- served as a project manager and assisted in the development of an ITS Master Plan for the Indiana   Toll Road. The plan included inventory of existing ITS systems, identification of ITS market packages, development of ITS architecture, identification of ITS projects for implementation, and development of incident management preliminary plan and deployment plan.

· Borman Advanced Traffic Management System (ATMS)- served as a QA/QC coordinator for the Borman ATMS, which covers about 20 miles of expressways and comprises of electronic surveillance (detector and closed circuit television), traveler information, communication network, traffic management center and Hoosier Helpers.

National Engineering Technology (NET), Chicago, Illinois- Group Leader, Transportation Applications with following responsibilities:

· Wisconsin Department of Transportation District 2 Communications-Data Infrastructure (CDSI) Project. Served as a project manager, provided technical assistance in the development of the Southeastern Wisconsin Regional ITS Architecture, assisted in mapping the District fiber network and reviewed project deliverables.

· Illinois   State Toll Highway Authority Traffic and Incident Management System (TIMS) Project. Led procurement of project hardware/software, assisted in development of HD/SW specs and System Hardware Design, and reviewed Closed Circuit Television Design.

· Georgia Department of Transportation Metropolitan ITS Integration Project- Phase I. Assisted in mapping the NavGAtor, MARTA and City of Atlanta systems to the NTCIP standards and National ITS Architecture.

· Illinois Department of Transportation Traffic Systems Center(IDOT TSC) Upgrade. Populated the database of the expressway system geometry characteristics, developing the System Engineering Manual, System Operations Manual, System Administration Manual, Test Plan Document, and training material, and conducting training.

· Kansas City Area Advanced Transportation Management System. Assisted in the development of the Ramp Metering Needs and Feasibility Study for the Kansas City Metropolitan area and conducted Field Component Technology Assessment Study.

· California Department of Transportation District 7 ATMS. Developed a System Engineering Manual for District 7 ATMS.

· Wisconsin Department of Transportation District 2 Integrated Corridor Operations Project (ICOP). Provided technical assistance in the development of the system architecture and concept of operations and in the assessment of recommended technologies.

· Gary-Chicago-Milwaukee ITS Priority Corridor. Developed the Corridor’s Location Reference Message Specification Migration Plan and maintained the GCM Public Information Center Library on the Internet.

· The Port Authority of NY & NJ George Washington Bridge (GWB) Intelligent Transportation System. Developed the incident detection algorithms for the GWB ITS project.

· Portland Advanced Transportation Management System. Developed a procedure to calibrate the Incident Detection Subsystem.

Michigan State University, East Lansing, Michigan 

· Participated in research to evaluate the impact of work zone traffic signing on speed, and to study delay and queue length on selected work zone areas in the State of Michigan.

· Involved in site exploration and preparation, data collection, image processing, statistical analysis, congestion modeling, and evaluation of the Advanced Traffic Management System in the Detroit, MichiganMetropolitan area.
